Bikefitting 101
Tuesday, December 3
6:30PM - 8:00PM
Map Link: Recycle-A-Bicycle, 858 Fulton Street, Brooklyn
A bikefit is the process of addressing the relationship between your body and your bike. Often a few small changes - moving the saddle position, changing the stem, replacing a worn out saddle - can mean the difference between discomfort or injury and happy, healthy riding.
This workshop will include a short demo fit (bring your bike if you would like to volunteer!). You'll have a chance to check out some fitting tools and interventions and ask your questions to a bikefitter.
You'll leave this workshop with a better understanding of what a good bikefit should feel like, what you can try at home and when to consult the professionals.
About the Presenter:
A.M. Van Doren (they/them) is a bikefitter and the owner of Revolutions Per Bikefit Studio. They were trained under Greg Robidoux at Serotta International Cycling Institute. They believe that bikefitting should be inclusive and accessible to all riders including women, people of color, people of varying sizes, abilities and styles of riding.
This class is in-person at our Recycle-A-Bicycle Community Bike Shop in Brooklyn.
Please note that this class is open to people of all gender identities.
Registration for this class is full.
